EC-741 Battery Tester
- The EC-741 battery tester is Micro-Proccesor controlled and is designed to measure the remaining power in Primary or Rechargeable AA, AAA, 9V, CR-V3, & 2CR5 batteries. To obtain the most precise reading, it is necessary to set the selector switch to Primary or Rechargeable to match the type of battery you are about to test before proceeding.
- Locate the correct slot on the EC-741 for the type of battery you would like to test..
- Match the + and - symbols embossed in the battery slot to insert your battery into the tester with correct direction of polarity. Note: The EC-741 has reverse polarity protection. If the battery is inserted backwards the EC-741 will not work.
- As soon as a battery is inserted properly, all 5 LED's will blink once indicating the battery is under testing. After a few seconds, the LED's on the EC-741 battery tester will AUTOMATICALLY light up to indicate the power remaining in your battery.
5 LED's lit - Battery has 100% of the power remaining.
4 LED's lit - Battery has 80% of the power remaining.
3 LED's lit - Battery has 60% of the power remaining.
2 LED's lit - Battery has 40% of the power remaining.
1 LED lit - Battery has 20% of the power remaining.
0 LED's lit - Battery has less than 20% of the power remaining.
- The battery is totally empty if the 5 LED's do not blink after a battery is first inserted and you are sure the battery is inserted properly.
- Remove your battery from the tester as soon as the testing is done.
